MISSION and OUTREACH MINISTRIES

Missions and Outreach Team (original): Wyoming's Mission and Outreach Team is committed to supporting Missionaries and projects that spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in the local area, in the state, in the nation, and in the world. We have a covenant relationship with a missionary family that is waiting to be assigned. Lisa Chase - Mission trip to India

Because of WUMC's generosity, support for our United Methodist Missionary will be renewed for 2008 by the Outreach Team. $1,000 will be sent to Marilyn Beecher, a church and community professional in the Orlando, FL, area who works with local churches as they respond to disaster relief, outreach projects, and children & youth programs.

Mission Trips (original): One or more mission trips are scheduled throughout the year. Past trips included locations in Virginia, New York, New Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and New Orleans. Below are links to various mission trips.

2008 Youth Mission Trip to Zanesville, OH.

Saturday Mission Projects (original): Volunteers serve as living testimony and witness to our Christian faith when they... rake leaves at a homeless shelter, collect donated food for the Kent Ecumenical Food Bank, assemble a prefab handicap access ramp and similar projects around the area.
